roberta gonzales is tracking the latest in the weather center.do has a report on the damage in san jose. but we begin with anne makovec in the north bay keeping an eye on the russian river. >> the record rainfall that hit the north bay means flooding is expected today. [overlapping speakers >> reporter: the river has just hit flood stage -- [ pause ] >> reporter: yes. the russian river has just hit flood stage which is 32 feet. so we are watching it rise slowly here just started raining again in guerneville. i'm near downtown guerneville. take a look at some of the shots that we got yesterday when the flooding had already begun in some low-lying areas. this is something that they are used to here in guerneville. it happens once about every 10 years. last time it was this high was a couple of years ago. but, you know, it is a little early in the season. we are waiting for the river to rise further now because more water is still coming from some of the tributaries and it's ending up in the river which , and it's going to be 35 feet which is three

roberta gonzales has the forecast. >> we have our "eye on the storm." look at the colors on the screen an intensifying area of low pressure right now. we also as we zoom in, into our own local bay area, see that we have lots of little cells that pop up especially around the north bay. the rain is moving in and we already have a flood advisory in effect for marin county. it's seen up to 4" of rain in the past 36 hours. that on top of the two inches of rain that's moving in with this system here. we'll keep an "eye on the storm." >>> the latest round of rain is causing some flooding in southern marin county. business owners were shocked to find water when they went to work today. a marsh area in tiburon was overwhelmed by runoff from a hillside causing excess water to spill across tiburon boulevard which is the main road in town. some businesses across from town hall were flooded, as well. after weather like last week's storm, business owners say today's flooding was very unexpected. the weather is causing two-hour days at sfo right now. 48 flights have b

with the forecast, here's roberta. >>> the winds will continue to blow today. good morning, everybody. be prepared for another bitterly cold day today for us here in the bay area. at this particular time taking a look out at the clear skies at the embarcadero, in concord, 35 degrees, 43 to the north in santa rosa, san francisco 46. livermore 44. but the big story is the wind. they continue to gust up to 25 miles per hour in some locations. these right now are sustained winds in san jose. north at 12 miles per hour. 14 pleasanton. 22 san francisco as well as at sfo. 16-mile-per-hour sustained winds in berkeley. 26 in napa. so when you couple that up with the current air temperature, it feels colder than what it actually is. we still have that wind advisory in place until high noon today. the winds gradually lessen -- lessen, lighten up, but don't decrease entirely. and then when they finally do, we have a freeze warning that goes into effect when the ball drops tonight, the freeze warning goes up. here's our futurecast. expected wind gusts not the sustained wind

. >>> downright treacherous, roberta.olks are heading to the north bay area where robertar is saying it's coming down the heaviest at this hour. we are getting report from kcbs cell callers that north 101 just before 580, deep standing water has stopped some of the traffic there. it looks like the flooding is up to several inches in the north 101 near the sandra yell bridge. south 101 moving well leaving southern marin into san francisco. tons of accidents, a lot of solo spinout with cars hydroplaning and this accident involving flooding, two lanes shut down in san carlos. south 101 before holly street, an accident blocking the two left-hand lanes. if you plan to make the commute -- a lot of phoenix do this time of the morning -- you see the yellow southbound 680, an overturned vehicle so expect slow traffic there. at the bay bridge toll plaza, westbound moving well. again, it's going to be a wet ride on the other side of the bridge, westbound 80 near ninth street, expect to see some flooding now on those outside lanes so
