>> roberta, here we go again. this is how i am feeling. i am sure that is how a lot of drivers who take highway 17 are feeling as well. man, i have been here a few times this winter and i haven't had to drive it every day like commuters do, but they have to deal with so much. i think we have video of landslides and myslides that have happened so far -- mudslides that have happened so far this winter. the only one causing issues is the slide by the vine hill road exit. traffic is limited to one lane there. other than that, things are looking okay so far. after the winter that we have had, the ground is so super saturated. so, that means the land and mud keep tumbling down into the freeway and causing a lot of trouble. so, they have had landslide experts here and geologists here. they put markers in the ground and then they track to see how far the markers have moved to make sure that everything stays safe here. i spoke to chp about all of this and they said yeah, of course, they're tired of the winter because we don't need water here. at th

roberta gonzalez joins us with where our weather goes from here. >> we want to update you on the north bay talking about the rushing river in because this is a dire situation. it's the second time this week it has crested flood stage at 32 feet and already surveillance passed that by a good foot at 33 feet and on its way to continue to rise. as it does rise we have brought down how high it will reach. initially it was at 36 feet but damage is done and minor flooding is occurring. this is how much rain has accumulated in the past 24 hours so you can understand why the river has been rising. high definition doppler radar has been putting hit and miss scattered showers off highway 84 the nice back way approach to 680 in the east bay. we have hit and miss showers also wood side. santa cruz mountains just light showers but earlier this morning we had pretty heavy rain that blasted during the morning commute. for the most part you have heard we have sunshine in the forecast for the weekend but i'm already tracking another storm that's moving this way that promises to bring gusty winds as wel
