southbound 101 traffic was good from the robin williams tunnel down to the toll plaza.of the fog is hanging out to the toll plaza. in this picture it's not foggy across the entire bridge, only at the southern end and a little at the northern end. it's not foggy near the tunnel. looking at highway 101 in san rafael, traffic is moderate into central san rafael. if you're driving to the bay bridge, traffic is slowing around the curve at the macarthur maze. this is a 20 minute delay before you cross into san francisco unless you are using the carpool lanes. this is a look at interstate 880 in oakland. 580 and 880 are not filled in. on the other hand if you are driving southbound on 880 through hayward, it is slow. the south bay commute is lighter than usual. >>> we're learning there may be a new development involving the wired fire in the santa cruz mountains. this morning the santa cruz county sheriff department will hold a briefing on the results of an investigation. first responder say they recognized the suspicious nature of the fire when it began. the sheriff's office

i'm going to show you the traffic and also the beautiful weather here coming out from the robin williamsown to the toll plaza and into san francisco's marin district. it is a beautiful shot. this is a look at 80 westbound across the bay. you can see that traffic is beginning to get better as you drive through. at the bay bridge toll plaza, that definitely is a backup of about 20 minutes. maybe a little bit more. there have been no major issues on 880 northbound. however, we do have slow traffic this morning as you drive through. this is a look at 880 southbound, driving all the way down to milpitas. it is solid and slow. now, the south bay commute has been very slow, especially along northbound 101, getting into mountain view. all of the freeways are jam packed. we still have the problem in the santa cruz mountains, northbound 17 at the summit. expect big delays. 8:32. back to the desk. >>> officials in sonoma county and the city of seat rosa want to make it easier for fire victims to find someplace to live. >> thousands of homes were destroyed in an area that was already facing a housin
