rochelle walensky stood by that today on the "today" show this morning trying to drive home some points about masking but not recommending the test before leaving quarantine. the cdc does have some updated guidelines on their website, though. they say make sure the person who is leaving quarantine is fever-free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medications. continue wearing face coverings for the full ten days after your first symptoms. even if you're at home around other people. avoid people who are immunocompromised or at risk for revere disease and after you leave isolation don't have g to restaurants or other places where masks will likely come off. and on the question of testing before ending quarantine in just five days, this is what dr. walensky had as far as recommendations. >> we have heard people who are interested in getting and doing a test. they have access to a test. they want to know how to interpret it. and when we updated our recommendations just this week, we provided guidance for how you interpret that test. if you so choose to take that extra step at the end o
