jennifer: tonight a rochester man held without bail accused of selling a deadly dose of fentanyl. the fatal overdose happened back in june with ryan kirk's arrest coming this past weekend. andy hershberger is live in the newsroom with this. reporter: if convicted of this charge, kirk faces the possibility of life without parole. kirk appeared before a superior court judge today, charged with dispensing a controlled drug with death resulting. authorities say it happened in june when kirk allegedly sold a fentanyl dose, a lethal dose to a man in a rochester apartment complex where kirk lived at the time. court records say that one person witnessed the transaction and later watched as the victim took the drugs. prosecutors say they will continue to aggressively pursue cases. >> there was a lengthy investigation conducted by the rochester police department, they conducted a number of interviews and spoke with individuals who provided information which led to the arrest of mr. kirk. reporter: the judge ordered kirk held today without bail. i'm andy hershberger, wmur news 9. tom: right

a rochester woman, charged in connection with a deadly overdose, is due in court today. police say 22-year-old nina batista provided fentanyl to a man who later died from an overdose. the 23-year-old victim was found dead last month at a home on osborne street in rochester. batista is scheduled to be arraigned today on one count of dispensing a controlled drug with death resulting. the dollar store in plymouth will be closed today after a car slammed into the building. police say no one was hurt when the car hit the store on tenney mountain highway yesterday but the building was damaged. the dollar store will remain closed until a structural engineer can assess the damage and repairs are made. was hit by a car in londonderry is now speaking out. police say manuela garcia concepcion died friday night after she was hit on high range road. at the time she was crossing the street to get her mail. mark bickford, who is a merrimack firefighter, happened upon the accident with his family. he and several nurses on scene tried desperately to save concepcion's life. >> i did every
