just moments ago we have reaction from one of the arbery family lawyers who posted online "william roddy bryanested on charges of felony murder and false imprisonment. and this attorney ben crump writing, "we are one step closer to getting justice for automatic ahmaud." there were unusual circumstances in the way police seemed to not really investigate let alone arrest anyone for this shooting on tape, but that now it has widened beyond the two individuals who were most directly involved in the shooting and involves, again, this additional individual who shot the video and may have been otherwise involved. felony murder as we were discussing earlier in our broadcast is an aggressive stance the prosecutors sometimes take when they believe and they believe they can prove that an individual set out to commit one felony premeditated and ended up committing acts or engaged in a conspiracy where others were, yes, murdered. all suspects, all arrestees are legally innocent until proven guilty. this is a story we will continue to cover for you. we have a lot more on tonight's broadcast when i come back

william roddie bryan, the man who recorded the fatal shooting of ahmaud arbery, the video that got circulatedidely, has been arrested and charged with felony murder and attempted false imprisonment. bryan is the third person to be arrested in this case. an attorney for bryan says he was just a witness to the shooting. joining us now is nbc news correspondent blayne alexander. where do we go from here? >> reporter: well, chuck, in a lot of ways, you know, william bryan has been a central figure in this entire case from the very beginning. it was his video, as you mentioned, that really ignited the protests that you saw across the country and ultimately led to the arrest of gregory and travis mcmichael. as for the role bryan flplayed, there are differing accounts. his attorney said he was at his house when he saw the pursuit in front of him. he pulled out the camera and started recording, saying he was a bystander. but in the arrest warrant, and even in the police report, he plays a much more specific role. the arrest warrants say that he was in his truck and blocked the path of arbery, blocked
