joining me now is bill roden, a writer at large for "the undefeated".rena controversy. we were talking about the sally jenkins in which she says an umpire spot is to temper emotions. your reaction to what you saw last night? >> i think this is sort of a great moment. this is a 50th anniversary of r arthur ashe becoming the first black man and only the second african-american person to win a major tennis tournament. one of the things that arthur was about was inclusion. that's what he wanted. he was about inclusion. i think he would be so delighted to see that in this big moment you had a portuguese umpire, an african-american tennis champion, and a player whose father was asian and mother japanese all involved in the moment. that's all he wanted was to have this great family of inclusion in this sport of tennis. so i think that's a wonderful thing. in terms of the specifics of the thing, number one, i think billie jean king said, the whole thing about coaching has to -- that's ridiculous. everybody -- and boxing, you have coaches. so that has to change.
