we lost roger chaffee. so we kind of understood that. i do not recall anybody being terribly discouraged by the fire. we really wanted to get the first flight. we were very pleased. and wally was already kind of looking forward to leaving nasa eventually. so his attitude kind of changed on that. he started getting more serious on-the-job. i just felt very fortunate. i do not remember ever really being frightened about flying. you fly airplanes and people get killed all the time. you usually find some reason to blame the pilot. because then it would not have happened to you. >> talk about fear. do you have any?
