>> ron allen, thanks very much. doctor, i want to start with what i found to be an alarming survey result out of a hospital system in miami. the jackson health system surveyed about half their employees, and it said there, would you receive the covid-19 vaccine once available in the first round. this is a health care system. these are the folks that we want to be vaccinating the first time. it looked like the country, doctor, only just under 50% said they'd be interested and another 35% wanted to wait. didn't want to basically be the first ones to get it. i'll be honest, doctor, i get it, in the overall american public but these are folks that work in the medical community every day. that was a little bit disturbing. are you concerned about that? >> i am concerned about it. unfortunately the antivaccine movement doesn't respect what your profession is. we have individuals i know for a fact at one of the small hospitals i happen to be on staff in in the suburbs of pittsburgh there is a nurse right now posting on face

joining me now from michigan is alison barber, ron allen, and from florida, kris jansing. let's talk about the logistics, guys, alison you're outside of pfizer headquarters where it is about to be a very busy place. >> yes, we expect we could see trucks moving to and from this plant in 24 hours of the official green light from the fda. the vaccines will be put in sub zero containers. they will go on trucks to take them to fedexand ups centers. we expect fed ex to handle distranscribing the vaccine to most states west of the mississippi, ups for states east of the mississippi, and from there they have their own distribution plans. in a lot of cases right now, especially leaving a lot of question marks in the air particularly for time tables and how they will plan, but they say once they have them they will be ready to distribute them. >> we really don't know exactly how much vaccine we will get our when we will get it. we think it will be next week, but we don't know when, so we're planning to set up our clinics with points based on how many doses we get. we will get our sh

nbc's ron allen is outside elmhurst this morning. n, i can only imagine for doctors there this has been a very long road. it does not necessarily mean the beginning of the end, if you will, but the sight of vaccines arriving will be such an important moment for them. how are they preparing? >> reporter: ayman, i think there's a big sense of relief. the ceo here, dr. eric way said this is a moment they've been praying for, hoping for. it's what's kept them going through all these very difficult months when there was so much misery and suffering here at the hospital. the numbers are up again, too, as we know across new york city and across new york state, but not nearly what they were back in the spring. the vaccine is welcome. it's going to arrive here in new york city, the expectation is over the weekend. sometime in the middle of next week health care workers, nursing home staff and residents could start getting vaccinated. here is what dr. way said about the arrival of the vaccine and what it means to him and his team here. >> i can
