[cameras clicking] gov. desantis: good morning. i want to thank the cleveland clinic and the dr. for hosting us. we have been working with the cleveland clinic throughout this and we really appreciate the advice, the council and the insight of what is going on on the ground. i have been able to talk with the doctors throughout this and i think they are doing a really good job. i want to give them a chance in a minute to talk about some of the things they are doing. if you look at how patients who come through here have faired compared to other places, they have a good record in terms of patients being discharged and patients recovering at higher rates than we see elsewhere.

ron desantis says there will be baby steps so they'll move into opening slowly. he does rely heavily on the sugges suggestions of the president. they were siding those projections for potential death tolls, that's when desantis apriled t issued the stay-at-home order on april 1st. we do know desantis is facing questions of why he's waiti wai long to issue the stay-at-home orders. we see governors playing against the white house. brian kemp moving too far and the president initially supported what he was doing. all of this comes one day after yesterday in the rose garden the president was acknowledging those complaints and concerns that we heard from governors for weeks about the ability to do enough testing to reopening. it is a big question of whether or not what the white house roll out is going to be enough, a lot of health experts say it is going to be higher than every state testing 2% of its population. we see how the administration and the president respond to those concerns from health experts. >> very much looking forward to hear from the president and go

now, he did talk to ron desantis, the governor of florida today. deis about desantis has not been willing to do a stay-at-home order. brian kemp in georgia has done that, but it's been slow and he's backed into it. and that's because he's been sort of hemmed in by the political atmosphere he created. daniel dale, here's what the president said when asked about the possibility of a national stay-at-home order. >> there are some states that are different. there are some states that don't have much of a problem. there are some -- well, they don't have the problem. they don't have thousands of people that are positive or thousands of people that even think they might have it or hundreds of people in some cases. >> daniel, what's the reality here? >> the reality is that while different states have been affected so far to differing extents, there is no state that does not have the problem. by cnn's count as of this afternoon every state had more than 100 cases and many of the states had very little ability to do the widespread testing that experts say is
