>> boy, another good point. i've been with all of them, even last week i was up there with chris christie. he was saying, how crazy is polling? a lot of my supporters might go back to trumpify drop out. as crazy the as that sounds. nothing is a given. including a trump victory. we are gonna see what happens in iowa, as you said, and then we're gonna head over to new hampshire where lot of independents that can swing either way, are gonna make their mark. and see who they feel would be the best republican nominee. >> madam chairwoman, there is not a competitive democratic primary happening. joe biden will be the democrat's nominee. however, the general i, mean, i feel like from the democrats perspective, they're looking towards a general election and i've talked to a number of democrats to do believe that donald trump is going to be the republican nominee. again, the voters still have to decide. how should the biden campaign be strategizing at the top of the year? not too good. what happened to chris wallace? i said why is he getting $3.5 million? i want to ask him that question. chris wallace interceded because joe didn't know he was alive. chris wallace interceded and he said you shouldn't be asking that. now it's a big subject. i talked about it literally three years ago. why does all this money come in from china? we took in hundreds of billions of dollars in taxes and tariffs from china. we gave the farmers, by the way, $28 million. that's why i say i am going to win iowa. my people say please, sir, don't see you are going to win iowa. you sound really horrible and crass. somebody said crass. i said its true. we are going to win iowa. i gave the farmers $28 million and got it from china. who else could do that? who else would be able to do it and who would think about it? i think about it because the farmers were hurt badly by china for many years. i asked the secretary of agriculture how much damage has been done over the past seven or eight years? ron desantis' campaign. that's whehen we return. >>> fewer than five weeks until the iowa caucuses, republican candidate ron desantis is in the hawkeye state where he will join cnn for a town hall tonight. here with me now is ron desantis' campaign manager. thank you so much for being here. let's begin in new hampshire, where governor sununu is poised to endorse nikki haley. you remember when the iowa governor kim reynolds endorsed your candidate last month. the governor touted it as very meaningful. is this meaningful for nikki haley in new hampshire? >> sure, it's meaningful, but i think the thing that's going to influence new hampshire the most is the very first in the nation state to go out and vote. the iowa caucus. i think on january 15th, when people go out and cast their vote and everybody sees ron desantis as the true trump alternative when they see him below projections and expectations out of the water, that momentum will go into new hampshire. that will certainly be more important than any one endorsement. but let's not forget ron desantis has endorsements from over 60 state legislators. hnikki haley has fewer than fiv. he's the grass roots candidate. he's building this campaign from the bottom up.
