what sparked this whole thing were comments by apple cofounder ron wayne.e sold his 10% stake for 800 bucks and bought gold. he proudly stands to that decision. that underscores a serious problem. people that buy only gold or only bomb shelters or only canned foods, you've missed out on so much lost money and also lost time. that time you can't get back. even if the whole world went to hell in a handbasket, it wouldn't matter. bad things happen in life. you know that. it's not farfetched for people want to to be hedged. i like to moderate cash levels. what roars doing to address the market, that chart you saw, gold was like -- it looked like a flatline. it was up 100%. of course, apple up over 20000%. when the market gets hit, i get a lot of these tweets and emails. people are afraid. i told you so. never mind we went up 13 points. what's the tragedy to mitigate the fear. >> gold is not an adequate hedge for deflation for times of trouble and war. it's not a long term investment. it works when it works. if you want to have a well-diversified portfolio and d
