reagan to rest here year ago this week she passed away and also a year ago this week. it was ronald and nancy reagan's anniversary. they were married on march 4th of 1952. so it really is a very special week of remembrance and i'm gonna share a lot of reflections of my times and my years working for president reagan, but before i started with that i kind of wanted to start with a little bit about the book itself. how many of you in here have written a book before or intend to write a book someday? don't be laughing. i'm sure there's some very free remarkable students in here. okay. see i see hands. for me writing a book was very much a process of streams, so writing a book starts with ideas in your head thoughts in your heart comes through your fingers onto a keyboard magic little characters appear on a screen eventually. maybe you get hard pieces of paper that you put together with a paperclip or a binder and then ultimately it winds up like this. it's like a magical incredible process well because of my experience as the executive assistant to the president, i was very much used t
