the trial of ronald thompson underway. before the jury heard the testimony, a set back for the prosecution. and what happened? >> the victim was a no show. they told the judge they had no idea where the victim was, they offered the defendant a plea it and wanted to go to trial. to give you background, the victim is 15. prosecutors say he was born a male but identifies as a female and dresses like a female and represents herself as a female. she goes by jessica mccoy. last summer attorneys say the teen had a sexual encounter with a friend of the defendant. they learned and brake the news to the friend. when the friend found out the defense said kurtis lost it and wanted to get even. take a look. >> he freaks out. he goes to the store. he down as pack of alcohol by himself. he does not know how to deal with the fact he had sex with a man. to calm him down. but. >> that's when the defendant and friends plotted the revenge, they asked the victim for a ride to the store and at gun point and beat her and threw they her in the tr
