i want to ask you something, this twist that was brought up first by report or an author, ronan farrow, who has done extensive reporting and wrote a book on how, what harvey weinstein operated he argues that this appellate case could actually have some impact on donald trump's case, how sarah, it's the first thing i thought of because we're covering trump gavel to gavel keep in mind, we just heard a sandoval hearing in donald trump's case. >> there's two things that this is directly impactful to donald trump's case. first prior bad acts evidence coming into the courtroom. the second, the appellate courts finding that harvey weinstein basically could not testify because so much was going to be allowed in on cross-examination the same type of argument would apply to donald trump at the sandoval hearing. that's where prosecutors are told by the judge what can come in if donald trump were to testify, they opened up the gates. the judge to the e jean carroll case, to the new york state attorney general, civil fraud case because of that, donald trump will have a similar argument that he's ha

not be flattering about donald trump, but karen mcdougal wrote an entire memoir about this that ronan farrow from the new york, right, is hands-on, says, he told cohen this is a little different and suggested they vet the story. cohen agreed it was a good idea to vet the story and as this all comes out, the story is, according to karen mcdougal and according to the wall street journal, which broke the story of this relationship right before the collection of 2016 is that they met in 2006, right after the stormy daniels encounter packer says he asked dylan howard, the editor of the national enquirer, to go to california to interview mcdougal. now remember mcdougal is supposedly shopping around this story and the, around this time says he was speaking to cohen, michael cohen trump's lawyer. did not have an official role on the campaign. probably a couple of times a week because now we're in the thick of it. it's 2016. it's the presidential election. the story ultimately does come out in november, about four days before the election in and then ronan farrow gets his hand on the memoir that kare

ronan farrow also wrote in a new yorker piece that the housekeepers father said the doorman's claim was completed lately, false and ridiculous. after those reports in april 2018 and after he'd been freed from his agreement with ami, the doorman gave a statement to cnn. he stood by his story despite the fact there was no evidence to prove it. i can confirm that i was instructed not to criticize president trump's former housekeeper due to a prior relationship she had with president trump, which produced a child according to court documents, when ami realize the claim was false and wanted to release the doormen from his agreement with them. trump's then lawyer turned fixer. michael cohen, told pecker not to release the doorman until after the presidential election. the agreement the doorman had made with ami in 2015 also stated that if he shared his story anywhere else, he'd be forced to pay a $1,000,000 penalty in 2019 after he'd been released from the deal, the doorman self-published a book, writing in the description, i was the trump doorman back then. i wasn't able to fully give my sid
