on friday, the 14-year-old was savagely beaten by a group of gang members in roosevelt park. the park is in east san jose. they say that the park was full of witnesses but none have come forward with what they know he. the boy died on monday but police were hesitant to release any information while investigators were following their leads. police aren't saying much about how everything went down but our media partner the san jose mercury news reports that as the boy was being beaten his father was standing nearby, putting the boy in the fight for his life. >> roosevelt park is known for a high level of gang activity. coupled with the information that we know about roosevelt park we do believe this is a gang related mo homicide. >> the sergeant went on to say that they have additional information but they are declining to release it at this time. it is not clear how many suspects were involved or how many people were at the park but the san jose police did confirm with me that no weapons were used. back here live police are saying that they know that there were witnesses at tha
