ktvu james torres live from santa rosa.e efforts underway to try to keep people in the streets safe. >> and pat, well, that latest arrests happening over the weekend, police arresting, uh, five total people. they say they pulled a car over originally for a code violation. and by the end of it, two adults and three children were under arrest. now, police have identified the two adults as 28 year old jose cervantes and 18 year old david diaz. they say they were driving with a loaded semi automatic handgun, a ghost gun as well, meaning it was not registered at all. and they say they were carrying that gun illegally, arresting the three kids as well for similar charges. and santa rosa police say their gang problem became apparent to them by the end of 2023. as a result, it brought back its gang crime team, which commits four detectives and a sergeant to tackle gang related activity that disbanded back in 2019. they say because of staffing shortages. police say five of the city's nine homicides in the last year were all gang rel
