reported. the cause of the fire is under investigation.>> the airport in santa rosa is one of the busiest places in the battle against these wildfires. we are there tonight. what did they do it that airport? >> reporter: they were busy all day long hair. in fact, there are about five of these aircraft operating out of this particular airport right now. over here, that is a spotter plane. the aircraft the flies over the aircraft and helps the retardant bombers light up on their target. and then further to the left, you will see two of the four bombers. 1200 gallon retardant talent -- planes with brand-new turboprop engines. they fly faster and get bigger payloads. those are the really big defense the california has. it has the largest aerial air fighting force in terms of fighting fires in the country including the federal government. so what you see is these aircraft, two of which are out right now fighting fires going on right now. also, working out of this space is a c-130. a cargo plane which has been civilian eyes. it drops 4000 gallons. the job of all of these firefighting aircraft are to t
