i saw rosario dawson. what was it like for you to direct a film like this?ssion project. it was a chance to do a film in the states that still has a lot to do with where i come from. a chance to work with a community that i feel part of. i've been going back and forth from mexico to california since i'm 20 and i really wanted to tell the story. i really wanted to celebrate a hero of our community and have a chance to portray our community with the complexity, the dive e diversity, the richness that it has. i think often we see that latinos are represented, falling into stereotypes. and this story gave us the chance to really go deep, you know, in the experience of mexican-americans and it's a beautiful way to talk about what it is to be a first generation, you know. cesar chavez was born in the states, but his parents came from mexico. that experience of wanting to belong into a place that reminds you every time you don't belong. the strug of a community trying to find space. >> america, you play helen. in immersing yourself in this character and in this fil
