let's check in with your weekend forecast with meteorologist rosemary roscoe. good morning, rosemary. that was quite a lightning storm we saw! >> you said it. but the conditions have actually improved overnight. let's start with the red flag warning over the north bay lasting until 11:00 this morning. those dry northerly winds have been gusting to 22 miles per hour, even 25 in some cases in the overnight hours. and they're expected to continue through late morning. humidity this morning is low as well, especially for first start of the day. meanwhile, over the east and south bay, through the weekend we are expecting that possibility of thunderstorms. dry lightning sparking even some fires last night. but the atmosphere has become more saturated and from this point on we are expecting any thunderstorms to actually be attached with some moisture and some scattered showers, and that will lessen the fire threat over the east and south bay. but that thunderstorm risk will remain for the weekend, through the range and east bay hills, santa clara and monterey counties
