>> reporter: yeah, rosemary. these churches that are closing technically will still be worship sites and merge with other parishes. i was talking with one of the folks at st. elizabeth ann seton in bensalem. they tell me they will have a finally mass at 2:00 where they're expecting a lot of people. upwards of 500 people that will pack this church and this church is one of five that is currently appealing the decision to merge with the archdiocese in the hopes they will change their mind. another parish on that list. delaware county. we were there yesterday as they celebrated their final saturday mass as their own individual parish. now, july 1st, tuesday, they will merge with our lady of peace in millmont park. these 16 parishes that are worshipping with others will become worship sites after july 1st. now, notre dame says their church building will still be used for weekend masses throughout the end of the summer. it's part of a transition period but some of the reasoning given by the archdiocese for the parish

rosemary?>> well, frank dikatau is the professor in the history department and he joins us to talk about china's crackdowns. frank, thanks for being with us. now china's leadership has successfully erased from the history books the events that transpired throughout the cultural revolution and the tiananmen square massacre. what happened to all those protesters who called for reform in the leadup to tiananmen square and throughout the country's history? will they ever get their say? >> you could call the people's republic a state of enforced amnesia in that there is very little public debate, not to mention memorials, museums about some of the horrors that have happened since 1949. that includes, needles to say, the tens of millions that died during the cultural revolution which was a period of actual trauma and of course the tiananmen massacre. now what has happened to those who spoke out, individual fate are very different, but i think overall one has to say that the victims have been silenced
