>> reporter: rosemary that's right. i've been talking to pennsylvania stays applyte police and we now know this chase began on the schuylkill westbound before it gets to the roosevelt boulevard exit as you head off to northeast philadelphia. the rider was never on the boulevard, he was actually on the schuylkill and headed westbound on the schuylkill and actually ended here at the intersection of germantown pike and chemical road. that's what you're looking at. first responders had to give medical treatment to the rider, he crasheddown an embankment in a business park development at this intersection. investigators say the unidentified motorcyclist originally exited the blue route at ridge pike and turned on to chemical road. the driver rider, is in his early 30s, sped east on chemical road, lost control, and then crashed trying to escape pursuit in the business park. he has been rushed to the hospital in nonlife-threatening injuries. he is in custody. the charges he could be looking at according to state police fleeing
