i'm rosemary connors. apparently it's. 8:30 on this saturday. meteorologist karen thomas starts off our first alert weather coverage. karen it's bean while since we've seen these kind of conditions. people should be careful especially if they are doing some driving. >> any time we have wet road conditions we want to let everybody know keep it easy and slow down especially if you're having to travel north and west of the city because the temperatures are colder there and so there's more of a chance for light snow and so if there is light snow on the roads slippery conditions would prevail. what can we expect today? snow and rain moving through the area. wet road conditions. a freeze warning that's ready to go into effect later tonight and early tomorrow morning because we expect our temperatures to really fall off as we move through our saturday night. live radar showing us what the picture looks like at this hour. it depends on where you are that's going to determine if you're getting rain if you haven't received anything just yet look at folks

i'm rosemary connors. it's 6:30 on this saturday.eorologist karen thomas is tracking those changes to the first alert forecast. good morning, karen. >> we're certainly busy in the weather department for sure this morning. fairly tranquil conditions out there. we do have some rain showers moving through parts of our area at this hour but temperatures on the mild side. there is a soggy look live at cape may right now. temperatures not doing too badly. we do have cloudy skies at 59 degrees right now in philadelphia. it isn't raining everywhere in the viewing area but we will have those on and off showers of the light variety moving through the region throughout the morning and into the afternoon. cloud cover will stay with us but then our attention is going to turn to the high winds developing late this afternoon and then potentially dangerous winds overnight into early tomorrow morning. we have a high wind warning that's set to go into effect at midnight tonight for most of our viewing area. southeastern pennsylvania, northern delaware

rosemary? >> good advice. thanks, karen. >>> this morning we're hearing from the mother of the baby who was kidnapped from the king of prussia mall earlier this week as the police are look into the suspect's health records. ahsir simmons is back in his mother's arm. a woman abducted the child from the food court at the mall on thursday. >> why my child? why anybody's child? how could you do something so hurtful and evil? >> the suspect is the daughter of a pennsylvania republican party leader. police say amoore brought the baby from the mall to a nearby home. the man who lives there declined to comment yesterday. the suspect told investigators she gave birth in february to a baby who died a few hours later. police are now checking into her medical records to verify that. authorities right now are holding amoore on half million dollars cash bail related to several felony charges including kidnapping. her preliminary hearing is set for april 15th. >>> there are still questions about why it took hours for many pe

let's go over to rosemary for all of the details on what to expect today.ce in many spots. if you like it really warm, head inland. some areas expected near 90. here is a look at the blue sky we're talking about. it is really hard to find a cloud out there this morning. wall-to-wall sunshine. we're off to a cool start. temperatures rebounding fairly quickly. and again, talking about all of those folks that are thinking about heading to the coast. be aware, we have sneaker waves and rip currents a possibility for today. the swell not too large. but in any event, you could definitely experience some of this. so be prepared. never turn your back to the ocean. keep your eye on the little ones and your dogs. you know how it goes. because as beautiful as it is, it can be dangerous. the current temperatures are 59 at half moon bay. low 60s san francisco. santa rosa and napa, this is a nice rebound because many communities started out in the 40s. livermore started out in the upper 40s. now they're at 58. low 60s in concord. as expected a quick rebound underway. low

monique. >> hi, rosemary. as the memorial grows outside this house, that new information we learned this morning includes not om hat mother's boyfriend turned himself in, he told them he did strike accidentally while playing with the gun using a.45 caliber handgun the little girl will this is what we also learned. he turned himself into the district office 8:00 last night he told detectives he had the gun in his hand when he accidentally fired striking 4-year-old. police recovered.45 caliber semiautomatic hand done. we just learned that. our camera at eastfield shortly after the little girl was killed. sources tell us as many as seven children that's also new, were inside the home when the gun went off at 2:30 in the afternoon. initially police told us their investigation revealed a 5-year-old accidentally shot the child in the face. but we now know it was a man inside the home who fled the scene and turned himself into police last night. he has confessed and at this moment we're awaiting word on homicide char
