i am rosemary orozco and that's your weekend watch. >>> as we get ready for your friday which for many is like weekend -- it's 100 degrees in livermore -- was 101 in fairfield and will be cooler tomorrow so temperatures generally trending down and air quality generally getting better so the bay area weekend looks like a good one with temperatures out of the 100s. by the weekend -- mid to low 90s, so you can see the smoke out there -- and it was quite the sunset, too. it's all going on. we have that smoke coming down from the north but the winds from this system which did trigger a red flag warning for the north part of the state will clear out the smoke really nicely for us but cause problems for firefighters -- especially tonight, saturday and a little bit into sunday morning. so there's the fog and tomorrow will be a lot like today with better quality and temperatures about four degrees cooler -- right now you can already see the seabreeze kicking in although it's warmer than it was last night at this time, but that should change -- and tomorrow we see a little more of an onshore bre

i'm rosemary church. we're following breaking news from ohio this hour as a special congressional election remains too close to call. many saw this race as a litmus test for the u.s. president. right now trump endorsed republican troy balderson leads with a razor thin margin but democrat danny o'connor has not conceded yet because more than 8,000 absentee and provisional ballots still need to be counted. well, still the president is claiming credit for victory via twitter saying this, when i decided to go to ohio for troy balderson he was down in early voting 64-36. that was not good. after my speech on saturday night there was a big turn for the better. now troy wins a great victory during a very tough time of the year for voting. balderson is also claiming victory despite the real possibility of a recount here. cnn's jason carol is at balderson headquarters. >> reporter: by late night the race was still too close to call but troy balderson has come out and declared victory. this was a race that really w

we will check the weather with rosemary. >> good morning. tgif. we are looking at a bit of a cool down for the bay area weekend. temperatures coming down just slightly and then picking back up getting into the business week. i want to talk about the fires burning over northern california . the red flag warning starts a little later today and will go into the weekend. we are looking at very hot and dry conditions once again. for the mendocino complex fire by about 7:00 66 degrees. upper 70s over area of the carr fire with relative humidity at about 90%. hotter and drier for the afternoon. low 90s in th relative humidity all the way down to about five or 10%. generally light wind. we could see the wind pickupnyon areas. it is top terrain for . 92 ove mendocino area into the afternoon. 100 degrees for the carr fire area. a tough fight with hot, dry fo at home we have a bit of a west northwest flow. that means we could see some smoke drifting our way into the weekend, especially over the northbay. you may see it at times or smell it at times. 10 miles
