. >> absolutely, rosemary. we haven't been able to speak with any of the passengers yet because obviously their phones were switched off during the flight from hanada airport in the tokyo area to travis air force base which is northeast of san francisco. certainly it's got to be a relief they landed in the united states. it was quite an ordeal to get them to this point. first there is, you know, nearly two weeks of quarantine on board the diamond princess. most of the time spent in their cramped cabin, maybe an hour outside every couple of days. then when they got word that the u.s. government was sending in charter flights to evacuate them, that was welcome news followed by unwelcome news for many that what they had been told repeatedly that after they finished the quarantine period on the ship they would be allowed to go straight home. that has now changed. the united states government saying they have to out of abundance of caution put the people in a new 14-day quarantine either at travis air force base in

>> yeah, it's interesting, rosemary.preview of what the economic debate is going to be in the general election here in the u.s. because on the one hand voters are very satisfied with the economy. 3/4 of americans saying the economy is excellent or good. and president trump's approval rating on the economy is up to the mid to high 50s, which is a very robust number for an incumbent president. on the other hand, the share of americans who approve of the way he's handling health care is under 40% usually in polls. and when people talk about their day-to-day economic concerns, the cost of health care, in particular the cost of prescription drugs is right at the top of the list. if the economy may be his greatest policy strength at the moment, health care is his greatest policy vulnerability. and i think you're going to see an argument play out through the rest of the year about which one of those weighs more in the minds of voters. it was quite telling that when democrats at one point got up and start chanting, you know, 3,

here's rosemary orozco with the forecast. >> temperatures relatively mild. fortunately no rain in the forecast. so that's another concern. giving you a live look here over the golden gate bridge where we have a lot of sunshine and thankfully so because another chilly start and we need some warmth to come through. here's a look at some of the overnight lows this morning. 36 in napa and 37 in hayward. a freeze warning from earlier this morning allowed to expire there. and we had a bit of wind out there that kept temperatures a little bit warmer than expected. here's a look at the temperatures right now where we have san francisco in view and 51 degrees. 54 over areas of santa rosa. low 50s oakland, livermore, san jose. the temperatures are up by a few degrees in novato up by 4. up by 2 over hayward. so we're headed in the right direction and with each passing day, temperatures are expected to build. fairfield reporting 26 miles per hour gusts. concord at 17. oakland sustained at 7. and napa reporting a 12 miles per hour breeze. even though the temperatures wer
