all right, rosemary. thanks we'll see you soon, more than a month after the oakland zoo closed because of storm damage. it is back open exciting. the storms earlier this year did damage the zoo, including that massive sinkhole on the road. today, though, they are back in business news and ruben live there tonight, and officials must be pretty relieved to be back open. that's for sure. yeah. not only were those repairs costly, but this was losing money every day. it wasn't open. so staff here says they were very eager to welcome people back. the gibbons were pretty vocal about it. the otters seemed curious. the baboons practically fought for attention while welcoming guests back to the oakland zoo. most definitely happy to see us for 35 long days. the zoo had been closed after massive storms caused a sinkhole and washed out the entrance road. this is time lapse video of the repairs. it was the kind of setback the zoo didn't need coming out of the pandemic. well you know, it's hundreds of thousands of dolla
