deputy attorney general rosen stine has built a distinguished career of keeping americans safe and establishing the rule of law going back to his days as a trial attorney with the public integrity section in the 90s. he has since served the department in a number of capacities from associate independent counsel to the assistant united states attorney to head the department of tax division. in 2005, he began 12 years of service as united states attorney for the district of maryland and was confirmed as deputy attorney general in 2017. over the course of his career, he has earned a well-deserved reputation for integrity and the fair pursuit of justice. and his appreciation and support of first responders is second to none. it's an honor to have him with us today. i hope you'll join me in giving a warm welcome to our 37th attorney general rod rosenstein.
