apparently this train heading south to the city had just stopped at the train station at roslyn and had just left the station, not even up to full speed at about 40 or 45 miles an hour when passengers tell us they heard a big bang and the train sort of leisureurched and rolled to a stop. septa knew at that point the -- what they called the little scissor jack on the top of the train that touches the electrical line had been pulled off the top of the train and in order to get the 500 passengers on to a backup train that they brought up there, they had to make certain those electric lines were deenergized, and that the train itself was properly grounded. here is septa with more. >> lost power to the train, you know the passengers' safety was our priority because now they have no heat on the train. so we initiated several different prongs of attack to rescue the passengers once we were able to determine the vehicle was safe to let the passengers off. >> reporter: those passengers say they weren't really concerned, more concerned perhaps with being maybe an hour and a half two hours late to
