"today in the bay's" christie smith is live in san francisco where the judge has already tipped his hand. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, marla, and happy friday. ross mirkarimi has already suffered two legal setbacks in his efforts to keep his job as san francisco's sheriff. in fact, the tentative ruling yesterday won't be final until after a hearing that is set for 9:30 this morning here in san francisco. but a judge has already said that so far he sees no reason to undo his conduct suspension or allow him to even collect a salary. mirkarimi was suspended after an incident new year's day between mirkarimi and his wife ileana lopez when the family went out for a pizza. she ended up with a bruised arm, there were domestic violence charges a plea deal and a sentencing. mirkarimi told his side of the interview and he said he thought he was a more tender and caring person not as gruff or aggrebab. but he thought the suspension was political. mirkarimi spoke after and before the last hearing. >> all i can tell you is i've taken responsibility for what
