deidre has been watching that story closely and joins us again with more details. how do you see it? >> well, ross, you're right, there has been calls for reform, but they have been very, very carefully worded because during congress, it's all about unity. so they're usually contained in some pretty bland statements. but the reform minded leaders are basically saying china's economic star will fade unless pro market reforms are introduced. among those calling for reforms is the deputy governor of the people's bank of china as well as the chief of the securities regulator. they're saying pro market reforms are actually going to help with some social initiatives, social reforms such as protection of the environment as well as narrowing the gap between rich and poor. but as i said, these are very carefully worded. especially this year. no one wants to say something that is too aggressive or too reformist. because of course there is a pretty powerful group that are against pro market reforms. there are some that benefit, some leaders especially that benefit from the status quo like the officials of st

can we flesh out any more details about what we think has happened? >> rosss point, all we know is moments ago we heard from local media and a few other media sources here that there was a bus explosion here in tel aviv. sources now tells us that initially, it bears the symbols of a terrorist attack. the hm hallmarks of a terroris attack. all we know, there are several wounded, but we haven't heard any report s yet of deaths. it's important to say if this is a terrorist attack, it could really influence how this cease fire agreement were to go in gaza and also if it is, in fact, a terrorist attack on a bus, it would be the first one in about eight years here in tel aviv, so this could be potentially substantial. as of now, i'm hearing more sirens from emergency vehicles than usual here in town, so it does seem that something has happened. but at this point, we're still getting information at this moment. this, of course, as hillary clinton, secretary of state, is in the region trying to help negotiate peace talks here and a cease fire at this point, and the e

democratic nature -- the new democratic nature of the district will be tough for bartlett, even though ross perot has -- even though he has an element that the stomach of a typical republican. but he is facing a very different montgomery county electorate that is wealthy and intellectual and it will be tough to keep the republicans in the majority. >> john tierney getting a lot of attention with some allegations of gambling and offshore money that his in-laws may have made for him and his family. >> he is in a lot of trouble. we believe he is now an underdog in the race. it is for a couple of different reasons. he does have this ethical cloud surrounding his brothers and law. his wife serve some time for her misconduct. i think that a thick cloud as part of his problem. the other challenges that he is facing richard touse. is an openly gay republican who is not tied to the tea party label. he is an extreme conservative when he is an openly gay republican. republicans have run a good campaign. i think it would be surprised know if tierney comes back to congress. >> the rematch in new hampshire one. >>
