nine of them between the beltway and rosslyn.you can see, some drivers are saying what the heck is going on? these things are flashing. it's basically a test of the system here that will eventually flash the light at this toll plaza when cars have indicating that they have two or more people in their car. the flashing light will eventually let law enforcement know that that car should have to or more people inside of it and if it doesn't, they could be pursued and ticketed. the hot lanes which will go into that effect early december between the beltway and rosslyn will allow you to use the hov lanes for a fee if you're in your car alone. the amount of the tolls will rise and fall depending on traffic at the time. the hot lanes will go into effect from 5:30 to 9:30 in the morning eastbound and then westbound from 3:00 to 7:00 in the afternoon t it will no longer be a free ride if you have a hybrid car. basically this is part of an overall expansion project as vdot, northern virginia transportation officials widen and add hot lanes

directions but we're underneath one of the nine gentries that's now established between the beltway and rosslyn and take a look. if you watch it long enough you'll see these lights flashing here. this is the e-z pass toll plaza and eventually those things are going to flash when drivers put their e-z pass and hov mode, that means they have at least two people in the car during rush hour. and basically the flash allows the police that will be kind of monitoring these toll plazas -- no the really a plaza, it's a gentry it's an overhead reader to see there are two people in that car, its fine. if not they'll go after the person for violating. basically the hov lanes are now being tested so they don't actually go into effect until december but you're going to see a lot of lights flashing in the mean time. eventually these hot lanes will allow you to use the hov lanes for a fee if you're in your car alone and of the toll rises or falls depending on traffic at the time. they'll be in effect from 5:30 to 9:30 in the morning eastbound and westbound from 3:00 to 7:00 in the afternoon and again, the ligh
