rob roth is monitor the latest incidents from the newsroom. >> reporter: details are still starting to come in. it happened at the manchester arena. some media outlets are reporting as many as 20 people dead and hundreds were injured, but we've not independently confirmed that. the greater manchester police reports quote a number of deaths and injuries but have not released any numbers. we don't know yet what caused the explosion. we don't know what kind of explosion. british news outlet said a bomb disposal crew is on the scene. witnesses say they heard two loud bangs which created a panic and a stampede of people trying to get out of the arena. the singer is okay. now, it's just after 1:00 a.m. local time. it happened about 10:40 p.m. right after grande sang her last song and left the stage. there's a huge police presence outside the arena and people are being told to avoid the area. there are several pictures and videos of the incident posted online. we're also learning the subway station underneath the arena was evacuated. there are no injuries reported there. no one is saying yet
