on what the patient wants. >> we do everything on their schedule. you are not stuck with a huge hospital hallway. you can change and adapt to their schedule, rather than following what is most convenient for staff. they are able to set the time they want to wake up in the morning. they eat together as a group. >> there are 48 patient rooms, with dining rooms and community areas. makes it more like a home that a medical facility. >> we created a whole campus of the old stadium site. it has 340 apartments for low and moderate income seniors. >> ms. shirley dickens is one of the first residence to move in. >> the rooms are beautiful. people know how to treat us. that means a lot. >> the green house that stadium place is the first facility of its kind in maryland. >> you are not an college students today. at the top of the agenda, cyber bullying. >> maryland preparatory school hosted its first-ever diversity conference today. nadia has that story. >> it may look like a typical classroom lecture, but for some of the area's best and socially conscious students, it is about creating role models who will teach their fellow classmates to be more accepting of others. >> we want to open up some minds today and to take some things up with discussion. >> it was the first-ever diversity conference thursday. nearly 80 high school students from throughout baltimore county listened to guest speakers and participated in open discussions about value and independent preferences. some of the topics discussed include self awareness, gender stereotypes, and cyber bullying. >> there are four schools represented here, but this day is not very meaningful if they don't take it back to their schools and extend it. >> criminal-justice professional jamal smith says it is never too soon to discuss these critical topics with students, especially cyber bullying. >> they need to realize how much power they have to stop bullying and also to start bullying. >> curtis is a senior who was bullied in the past. >> it can happen to anyone. you need to be strong, and finding good support group. that support group can get you through any situation. >> many of these didn't say they are looking forward to sharing their newfound wisdom with others -- many of the students the hope is that the other three schools that took part in the conference will host similar conferences in the future. >> here is a look at some of our other top stories at this hour. police have arrested a howard county man for the murder of his wife, 21 years after she disappeared. 57-year-old robert jarrett was charged with first and second- degree murder in the death of his wife, christine. he told police his wife left their home after five and did not come home. police revisited his home and found the remains of a woman believed to be christine jarrett under the floorboards of a shed, buried in concrete. medical examiners are working to confirm the identity and a cause of death. >> the ravens are signing former colts quarterback curtis painter to a one-year contract. we know that the 25-year-old will compete with tyrod taylor to be the back up starter for jeff -- for joe flacco. baltimore city parents are battling funding cuts to city schools that could put after- school and summer programs on the chopping block. over 150 members of the group child first are gathering to testify before city council and the education and youth committee. they want the mayor to keep her commitment to double after- school programs over four years, which she had promised if elected. the budget calls for reducing funding for after-school programs for fiscal year 2015. >> eight national titles, 16 conference titles, and the most wins by any coach in college basketball history. after 38 seasons at has -- as head coach, pat summitt has stepped aside. >> it has been called the long goodbye. today in knoxville, tenn., on the board named in her honor, pat summitt began saying goodbye to the game and school she has love for nearly 40 years. >> i can tell you i have loved my work at the university of tennessee. has been awesome. >> suffering from early onset of dementia, with her memory beginning to fade, she read from a prepared statement. moments of her famous fire and passion came through in her message to the lady vol fans. >> i need you to step up more than ever to support our new head
