roz plater has the story. roz? >> reporter: that suspect is behind bars tonight. the way police describe this, it seems like it was a random attack and a crime of opportunity. neighbors in the 900 block of ironwood drive are on-edge. and here's why. san jose police say a 28-year-old woman was attacked by a stranger in her own bedroom. >> it's scary. i'm a woman here. it's scary. >> reporter: police say just after 4:00 in the morning, the suspect was trying to open door after door in an apartment complex, until he finally found one unlocked. he got in and akccosted the woman. inside her home, police arrested this man, richard hernandez, assault with intention to commit rape and burglary. >> i'm glad they bought him. keep catching them and it discourages the next guy. >> reporter: one month ago, another san jose woman was murdered in her home, police say by an undocumented immigrant that broke in. that terrifying crime happened not far from this neighborhood. >> we've increased security measures and some of the neighbors have, too. >> reporter: what have you done? >

. >> our team coverage continues with "today in the bay's" roz plater. she is live in san jose near the guadalupe river. roz, i can see some rain kind of coming down in the light behind you there. how are things holding up with the river? >> reporter: yeah, good morning. it is starting to come down much harder than it has been for the past couple of hours that we have been out here. a steady rain just really coming down along with the wind and a little bit of that rain being blown sideways. as we drove out here 3:30 this morning, roads were slick. they're probably a lot more slick than they were and puddling is going on. we are here at one of the potential trouble spots along the guadalupe river. this is in sections along san jose potentially at risk for flooding. that has been the case as early as three weeks ago when we had evacuation warnings there. i don't know how much you can see in the dark, that's a potential trouble spot so we'll be watching that throughout the day. as this rain starts to come down in intensity here. so wind along with the rain l

roz plater joins us live. >> reporter: tonight the tsa says it is investigating. this passenger just arrived at sfo three hours late after it was delayed. he beliefs he got caught up in the trouble that began here at sfo at about 6:30 in the morning. hundreds were delayed after a security breach at terminal three. a passenger had a loaded magazine in his carry on bag. the passenger and his ammo kept going. using surveillance cameras, agents located him >> he went to his flight. he had no idea anything was wrong. >> reporter: in the meantime, a partial ground stop halted 14 ground flights. >> they shouldn't have it at all. >> reporter: analysts say mistakes can happen. >> the weakest link is the human factor. >> reporter: the agency will work with their contractor to find out what happened and why. we were told that the passenger was cited and allowed to continue his flight. the federal can range up to $13,000. >> in marin county a driver plunged down a hillside. this crash happened on ridge crest boulevard. the car ended up as you can see 600 feet below the roadwa
