live in willow glen, roz plater, nbc bay area news. >>> let's take a closer look at the numbers in santa clara that are driving this. the graph behind me shows the daily new cases in santa clara county. let's start by looking at july. remember that's when we had that summer surge. at that point the county reported 386 cases, one day, july 15th. then it went down, right? so things got better. but here we are again. this is new cases november 17. 532 cases. that's a record high for the county, significantly higher, but you can see from the day before, it shows the cases are continuing to trend upward, and health leaders obviously as we've been telling you over and over again, it's an issue heading into this holiday and potentially the next one. >>> more people getting tested before the thanksgiving holiday. the alameda county fairgrounds was at capacity early this morning. the testing center swabbed more than 200 people before 9:00 a.m. the state says more people are getting tested than ever before. one big reason, people want to know if they are covid-free before heading home for the holi
