crist as our republican nominee. by virtue of the fact we're having this primary and mark rubio got out ahead -- you saw what charlie ist did come out jumping party in favor of their own skin. it is repulsive to me. i am so happy we are having this primary to get rid of a guy like crist. host: the think people will be motivated to go out and vote fo r rubio? know they will. you'll find one of the largest turnout in the history of florida this year. people are motivated this year. host: let's take a look at "newsmakers". agriculture secretary tom vilsack. host: you are concerned about the greek economy. >we guest: we have had a robust set of commitments from china and the grain area. we are seeking to reopen markets in japan, korea, and taiwan for our beef and pork products. we have renewed discussions with russia on poultry. there are opportunities for us outside of the european union that are important and we will continue to expand those opportunities, to make new partnerships. one of the reasons why the president focused on the transpacific discussions is a way of multilaterally engaging in the new trade agreement

given his very conservative take on things -- marco rubio has not given his very conservative take on things. >> i had forgotten about florida. charlie crist is still the governor. he gets to take an airplane over to the coast and look very concerned. visuals do matter in elections. i have not seenmarc marco rubio touring the beaches yet. florida's beaches matter to the state and to the nation. that is something where it could have a really big impact. believe it or not, charlie crist is leading by some 10 points in the latest race. did you want to weigh in on the politics? >> i am not a political strategist. it seems to me that, in certain areas, like in my home state of colorado, that they voted for climate change legislation. that may be a subject of discussion with her and our opponent in the future. i do think the policy decisions that the administration makes have an effect on how people view what is happening. i agree with marty on that. that is probably where i would leave it. typically, i do not think environmental issues dominate congressional elections. in most instances, especially where the economy has been hard hit, i think j

i will be watching the rubio crist race in florida very closely. i think the race could be very significant. second and third generation a more democratic, second and third generation want to roll out the welcome mat for immigrants and are not as tolerant as their brothers and sisters. that is one way to see how the hispanic population is changing. the white college graduates are a republican group. postgraduate are lost. women with a postgraduate degree are off the charts. the white working-class continues to be extremely important to the latest poll ratings. barack obama had a 39% approval rating. in terms of religion, it is correct that those with no religious identification and most likely to be democratic. that group is growing from a tiny base. i think that is something we are in agreement overall with. in terms of the rejigger the over all party is showing some significant strength overall. thank.
