and oakland police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing elderly man. 84 year old rufushawkins was last seen yesterday afternoon in the 3800 block of macarthur boulevard in oakland. police say hawkins is in good health but has dementia . he was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black sweat pants and black shoes when he disappeared. anyone with information on this case is asked to call oakland police january 6th house select committee has said to wrap up its nearly 18 month long investigation tomorrow, the committee is expected to present in its final report. the panel conducted more than 1000 interviews and held 10 public hearings as part of its investigation into the attack on the u. s capitol nearly two years ago, the riot at the capitol occurred after then president donald trump tried to overturn the results of the presidential election. the panel will decide whether or not to recommend that the justice department should pursue criminal charges in connection to the attack. congresswoman jackie speier held a final farewell town hall meeting in redwood city this afternoon here
