in terms of rain a morning shower or a rumble of thunder possible.looks like most of this wants to track toward the northern suburbs. if you do hear a rumble of thunder this morning, i don't think this morning are the severe thunderstorms. lightning is always a possibility so be careful of that when those storms are passing through but that's not really the big impact. if you have things to get done today, you can probably get them done by like noon, 1:00, 2 o'clock. after we get past about two or 2:30 we're on the lookout for this thunderstorm line to begin to develop. karen was commenting on how thin it seems. it's not the kind of thing that is necessarily going to impact you for a long period of time but as it comes through for about 30 to 45 minutes you have an issue with gusts out ahead of this storm, heavy pounding rain, lots of lightning as it comes through and then even behind it you can get some jumpback lightning so maybe 45 to 60 minutes is what you have to plan to sort of slow down and just hold steady. if this does come through with this
