russia investigation. if the president fires rod rosenstein, who takes over? you'd have to look to the number four at the doj. that's this guy, he's the guy who argues cases on behalf of the supreme courtould now be next in line to oversee the mueller investigation. joining me is mat mit miller. you know a thing or two about the doj. let's tee up some basic information about francisco. he's 48 pl he was appoi. he's a former associate counsel to george w. bush. he clerked for justice scalia back in the day. what is his reputation inside the department and sort of the broader bigger world of law enforcement? >> i will tell you about him. he is a traditional conservative. he's part of this line of kind of federalist society types in the republican party who have a very clear view of what the justice department ought to look like, the kind of positions it ought to take. he was very critical during the campaign of the way the fbi handled the clinton investigation, which is saying they ultimately whitewashed it. that said, he is a traditional rule of law type person. he comes out of the mainstream of the republican party when it comes to respect for the rule of law. that, of course, puts him
