the women's rights movement had ruth bader ginsburg, the civil rights movement of the legendary thurgood marshall advancing the cause and leading the charge in the corporate rights movement no more prominent than daniel webster who argued over the cases in the court many of them interpreting them for the first time and they represented a business interests including several where they represented corporations that were seeking constitutional protections in the supreme court. when the government regulates business and the wa way that businesses don't like they can use the constitutional rights challenge the regulation. they subjected them to special taxes and regulatory burdens. we see a series of cases where they are challenging the neighboring walls and disclosure such as warnings for customers we don't want a big warning label on a pack of cigarettes or gm used to produce milk. it's designed to help the public interest. one of the interesting things i found is many of the things we think about in liberal and conservative get flipped when we think about the history of corporate rights.
