i'm ryan yamamoto. we're learning at least 1 firefighter shirt as crews continue to battle the fire that's happening in the north bay. cal fire did not release further details on that injury. but right now more than 400 of the firefighters are on the front line. that fire burning southeast of lakes sonoma, just south of cloverdale, cal fire says crews are strengthening containment lines and at last check more than 1000 acres have burned with only 20% containment or shawn chitnis has been speaking to firefighters in sonoma county. here on the eastern side of lake sonoma. we can see the fire with smoke rising into the sky. even helicopters as part of that response from the air as cal fire enters a 2nd day, trying to get control over the fire now we are told that while they have made significant progress, they also see plenty of challenges ahead on the 2nd day, more than 400 people have been evacuated and another 400 are in a warning zone and need to be on standby to leave. the difficult factors firefighte

>ryan>and good afternoon. i'm right. yamamoto. major supreme court. court ruling. today and homeless camp. coming with wide reaching implications for the bay area. the highest court says the enforcement of laws to regulate campaigning on public prop is constitutional. the case centers around a group of homeless people in oregon, who sued the city of grant. pass. saying its ban on people's sleeping in public punish people for being homeless. today in a 6 to 3 decision. the court rejected that challenge. justice neil gorsuch. wrote the opinion for a conservative majority, saying enforcement of the ban did not amount to quote cruel and unusual. punishment. and the descent justice sonia mayor to said that the practice of jailing or finding people for being homeless as quote unconscionable and unconstitutional. governor gavin newsom reacted to the decision, saying the ruling will give official the ability to clear unsafe encampment. adding that california will quote continue to work with compassion to provide individuals. experience. homelessness. with the resources the
