(briana lee) "when i was in high school, he took me every weekend to go paint over graffiti or pick up trash in the streets. at age 15, waking up at 8 a.m. on a saturday to go paint over graffiti was pretty much the last thing that i wanted to do. but he didn't give in to my complaints. he told me to get up, put on an orange vest, take a paintbrush, work to beautify some of san francisco's streets and there also might be some burritos later." (justine) and in san mateo county. police are investigating a home burglary. it happened friday morning at a house on pullman road in hillsborough. there officers say the suspects made their way into the homes garage... by forcing open a side door. the suspects were scared off by a home burglary alarm....and were seen leaving the area in a white saturn with no rear license plate. they have not been caught. (justine) santa clara police arrested two people on suspicion of firearms and drug possession. here is a look at the several shotguns, some loaded and some unloaded, police netted. police also took, an imitation explosive device, thousands of rounds of ammunition, drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles. jonathan gillean was arrested for gun possession and a suppressor. patricia di-grandi was also arrested. police executed a search warrant at gillean's work in a commercial building on grant street. both suspects were booked into the santa clara county jail. (j.r.) tonight there is a marijuana warning going out for potential buyers on new year's day...when recreational marijuana becomes legal. experts say buyers should beware of contaminants such as pesticides and mold that could be present in marijuana sold january 1st. tests conducted on current marijuana in the state have found many samples tainted with chemicals and solvents. products harvested or manufactored this year won't be subject to regulations that take effect in 2018. these products were harvested under the state's current medical marijuana program that has very few regulations.
