s.f. -- police say it appears the victim was stabbed. watching as detectives arrive as i saw the same print medical examiners van pull up. large area taped up -- off for the investigation this crime scene is at the edge of vernell heights park. video from earlier, it was a passerby who found a body at 5:30 this morning along a path here. the person who saw this victim realized they had severe injuries. paramedics arrived but the person, the man was pronounced dead and according to san francisco police, the victim suffered from several stab wounds. i talked this morning with a neighbor who lives a couple doors away from where the body was found, she was walking this morning with her dog and she was stunned by what she saw. >> i'm usually here walking the dog and always feel comfortable coming here. dog owners know each other and each other's dogs, i wouldn't think twice about issues. it's startling. heartbreaking.>> reporter: san francisco police are not offering more information about the victim in this case other than to say he is a man
