so there is nothing wrong with what the s.f. p.u.c. just showed to you. but it shows that. s.f. p.u.c. is not the place where we're going to get a city build-out that will reverse the climate crisis. produced locally and regionly by 2030, which is what it is going to take to overcome the crisis. when ab117 was created, it put the elected body in charge of the program, and that's the clean s.f. board of supervisors. that's where we need a city-wide buildout plan to come from. it is so important that you hire a contractor as soon as you can so we can get that plan planned out so that we don't have to try to put a square peg through a round hole and ask the s.f. p.u.c. to to somethindosomething they're not designed to do. i know i've said that before, but it bears repeating. according to the puicc, we've only got 10 years left. so we need to do a massive build out of renewables, efficiency, and battery storage in this city. the way that is going to happen is through the board of supervisors. thanks. >> chairwoman: thank you very much. next speaker, please. >> thank you, chair fewer

clean power s.f. quarterly update. a report on customer enrolment and service status. efforts to secure long-term power commitments from renewable resources, and job impacts of clean power s.f. first, our enrolment and service to customers. clean power s.f. continues to serve customers successfully, meeting our customer needs and our regulatory requirements. we conducted our last nature auto enrolment process this past april, so it is a good time for us to recap our overall program enrolment. we also want to share with you what we heard from the customers to opt out and why they chose topped out. our program popped out percentage over the life of the program, from its may 2016 start , is three-point for -- is three-point four%. we experience in 96% retention rate. that is 6,300 accounts electing to receive 100% renewable like electricity from us. at previous meetings, you've asked us to bribe information on the reasons customers opt out the clean power s.f. program. we had approximately 280,000 custom

that the last time the s.f. p.u.c. was doing their intergrated resource planning process, which only happens every two years, and the last time they were involved in capital planning, they also told us we needed to delay our discussion of local integrative build-out that we'd been talking about before i got involved in 2013, until that was done. those were done. it didn't happen. and we're now on the next cycle of those. and i can only imagine that we're going to hear folks wanting to wait for the first s.f. p.u.c. plan, and for them to put out their getting to 2030 i.r.p., before we start looking at what we might like to do. you know, if we take over pg&e's infrastructure, clean power s.f. won't even exist. so all of the stuff they're doing will be for naught. we as the city, including s.f. p.u.c., but external of silos, like clean power s.f., we need to be looking at what we want to get to. the 2008 s.f. g.h. bond, some months ago, i spoke to the city attorneys office, elaine o'neill, and she said that the subcontractor passed through claim and had gone through the g.c., had talented --did it settle? >> she gave us a little back story about this issue. >> thank you, member lurkin for the question. yes, this is regarding the 2008 s.f.g.h. improvement bond. this century bond tha is the bos passed to construct a new hospital on campus. what mr. lurkin was alluding to and chair chu mentioned, as the party was completed, there was ongoing litigation that was, i guess -- that the city got involved with. it started with a litigation between web corp builder, which is the general contractor, and there was an ongoing litigation between one of their subcontractors, by the name of khsns. they had filed a lawsuit again web corp, and web corp pulled the city into litigation. so it was a cost complaint against the city and county of san francisco. so, yes, since then the settlement has been completed, f

walk s.f.s the only pedestrian advocacy organization in san francisco with the goals of ending pedestrian deaths and serious injuries on our streets as well as improving our street and sidewalk so that more people choose to walk every day. i'm here to express walk s.f.'s position on the better market street project in the near for clear separation between the sidewalk and the protected bike lane based on safety needs. market street is a place where half a million people walk every single day, and yet it is one of our most dangerous streets. collision reports show us the fifth and market intersection is the most dangerous intersection in our city, and just a few weeks ago, a 79-year-old woman lost her life at that intersection. because the data shows that people are being hit and killed along market street, we need to do something to change these unnecessary tragedies from continuing to occur. the better market street plan, with its improved intersections and sidewalk level bike lanes, will make

i received a phone call from a neighbor who lives directly across the street from arena s.f. who was complaining about the base and -- the base emanating from outside. we learned that they had installed speakers or were now utilizing speakers directly upon the entryway of the building, so that was causing a lot of disruption to the folks living across the street or at least specifically this one neighbor who contacted me. i did speak with the management and the new owners. they are undergoing a change of ownership right now to become the full owners of the business. they were very responsive, they did reach out to the neighbor who was the complainant and they also ceased using those speakers right away. so last weekend, they did not have the speakers in use, and we didn't receive any sound complaints. we are happy about that progression. they also followed up with me on monday. did we have any sound complaints i think they are eager to be in compliance. starting on page 5, we had ten complaints about an outdoor rooftop event. one of the reasons why the report is so long. so w
