it's a major step for our city and towards being more independent and providing 100% renewable energy for san francisco. through clean power s.f. and hetchy power in our city we provide 70% of the power to places like general, city hall, to our schools and treasure island and other locations throughout san francisco and i remember in 2012 or 2013 and senator wiener would remember how important clean power was to the people of the district i represented and so he and i worked very closely to fight to push san francisco in a direction where we finally rolled out a clean power program and in fact we worked to make sure that clean power program was provided to the residents of the bayview hunters community community first. the district that supervisor maxwell used to representative, because of many of the environmental injustice that's had occurred but more importantly, because we know it's possible. why do we need to continue to wait? why do we need to continue to be subjected to fossil fuel? is that are destroying san francisco and destroying our planet. we can't just be about instant gratification and what we see before us, we

s.f. development to begin construction that includes development of market-rate lots. the picture to the left is of the original view of hunter's view. there were 51 public housing units. it was unconnected to the city's grids and services. when the entire hope s.f. revitalization is completed, there will be one for one replacement of all public housing, approximately 21acres of land will include affordable housing in market rate. on the picture to the right, the affordable housing is on the right, and the parks are in the dark green. there will be three parks and the street grid connects to the city street grid, and the utilities connect to the city services. and then the revitalization will occur in three phases. next slide, please. hunter's view -- phase 1 and 2 was completed. 1 in 2013, and 2 in 2017, and together it will contain those -- those two spaces together will contain new parks, roads, streets and utilities, dedicated social services, and 286 units spread out over six blocks, and there are 214 replacement housing that has been completed. 69 additional, and there were four market-rate lots that have been rough graded. three of the four lots are entitled. and two of the three lots need sign

[laughter] >> when i first went to the art institute before the adventures were formed in 77, i was going to be a painter. i did not know i would turn into a punk singer. i got back into painting and i mostly do portraiture and figurative painting. one of the things about this job here is i discovered some great resources for images for my painting. i was looking through these mug shot books that we have here that are from the 1920s. i did a whole series of a mug shot paintings from those books. they are in the san francisco history centre's s.f. police department records. there are so many different things that the library provides

city may send out. for these types of wildfire incidents, we do have thresholds and triggers for when we will use that s.f we're forecasted to have 85° or 90° for multiple days in a row, we will send out these alerts. and the alerts won't just say, hey it is going to be hot. they'll say, hey, it is going to be hot, so this is what you should do: make sure you're checking on your neighbors, make sure to keep cool, make sure you have was the. so we do a lot of proactive communication in the days leading up to an event to make sure people know what to do. >> chairman: that sounds great. and i feel like it would be important to even communicate that information now to the community, so that when the communication happens days before the event, it will be more affective. >> hi. i'm just jumping in for a second. matt woll from public health. the department does develop how to stay safe during extreme heat events training, and deploys those throughout the months leading up to these seasonal hazards. so i think there is some model for doing this kind of proactive engagement to vulnerable communities that happens.
