a s.w.a.t.'ing prank wednesday targeting the home of "american idol" host ryan seacrest called to his beverly hills mansion after a 911 call alleging armed men were trying to force their way into his house. last week it was the homes of selena gomez and justin timberlake all pranks. >> there was a call, four men had entered the home and there was a call of someone being shot inside the home. >> wow. >> reporter: the fbi reporting 400 incidents nationwide annually. experts say cheap technology allows pranksters look like they're calling from inside a star's home. >> any kid who is technologically savvy which is virtually every kid could be doing this. >> reporter: last month a 12-year-old tween confessed he was behind this s.w.a.t.'ing incident at ashton kutcher's home in october. california lawmakers are trying to pass a bill forcing those convicted of these pranks to repay police for their response. and while comedian russell brand himself a s.w.a.t.'ing victim this week told ryan seacrest he minds
