but first, let's begin with ginger conejero saab. she's live in santa rosa this morning. and ginger. one family's experience serving as a big warning for everyone in that area. that's right. good morning, laura and kris. a santa rosa family is home, which is a newer one than a previous one, which was destroyed by the tubbs fire. has been red tagged and deemed uninhabitable after a landslide. now, about 17 homes have also gotten notification. three have been evacuated and two red tagged here in the deer trail court area. the neighborhood of unincorporated santa rosa. now, this is after mud slammed into a home tuesday night. firefighters rescued robert boyd's wife and daughter from the house and red tagged it. now, boyd says his wife sounded terrified when she called him at work after the landslide hit, and she was stuck % difficult to understand what she was saying and she was obviously panicking. she didn't know if she could get out and but. it was just so scary. as far as we know, the rainfall had been 4 or 5 days. it got to a saturation point in the ground and probably

nbc bay area's ginger conejero saab joins us from santa rosa. down here in santa rosa after not so much heavy rain this morning. this is the heaviest we've definitely seen and felt this morning. we're on montgomery drive, about ten minutes away from downtown santa rosa. and i want to point your attention to the side of that hill. that's part of the villa, bar and restaurant. you can see that is where three large boulders slid down the side of that hill and fell onto montgomery drive earlier this morning. this is just how big those boulders were. one of the workers from santa rosa's public works and streets department estimated the largest one to measure around two cubic yards. that's why workers had to jackhammer and drill into the boulders to break it up into smaller pieces, before scooping them into clearing trucks. now, fortunately, no one was hurt with this incident. there was also no reported damage resulting from this rock slide. there were also no injuries in another incident that happened yesterday. a massive oak tree fell down on steele
