fox 29 sabina karakose is in norristown. what does penndot say.>>reporter: right now, officials at penndot say they are officially prepared for this storm even as we stand there. salt trucks loaded up to head out onto the trucks. because of what they called the shear magnitude of this storm, penndot say they have all of its equipment out on the road. as you can hear, some of it still heading out. they have 120,000-tons of salt. that's what you saw over my shoulder here. of course, they have it all stored up because we haven't needed it much that winter. officials are stressing for people to stay off of the road. they say fight what they are calling stream poor visibility that's going to be out on the roadways. as a warning they cited some statistics from last year. they said in snowy conditions there were 500 crashes that included four fatalities and over 200 injuries. a lot of what they said is because of aggressive driving, people passing lanes and also speeding despite the conditions. penndot is going to be monitoring speed limits atrazine well
