morning iowa in hd with elias johnson, sabrina ahmed and we are iowas most accurate forecast with meteorologist sam schreier. this is good morning iowa." elias: even though it's not the greatest weather out, at have snow! snow and ice in part of kansas highways yesterday as the state is getting another blast of wintery weather. a 174-mile stretch of i-70 was closed because of conditions, and many motorists ended up stranding their cars because of the snow. elias: (anchor toss to wx) sam: adlib toss. sam: weather adlib: after two very rainy and gloomy days, we try out best to break the trend today but i don't think we're going to have much success. mostly cloudy, cold, and wet skies are the primary weather conditions expected through the afternoon today. rainfall today will be very scattered and light, so if we do see any showers they will leave very little rain accumulation and they should primarily slide through the state during the afternoon. temperatures today are going to be steady and cold with our official high temp already occurring at midnight and an afternoon high of around 52 degrees.
