sacramento 70s in the san joaquin valley. build right back in rapidly. this high right there will play into our weather tomorrow. that'll give us a quick jump on the temps. but watch what happens here. now one low goes in. it's the secondary low coming in. the key is will it have a little bit over water trajectory or just stay over land? but it's right on top of us. late friday into saturday. so temperatures no doubt will drop a good 20 degrees. we'll have drizzle, we'll have some mostly cloudy skies and maybe some light rain here. it depends if it goes our good buddy, the gfs has a little more westerly track. the euro has a little more overland track, but either way, northern sacramento valley, northeast california and tahoe and truckee. if you're going up friday and saturday, i would keep an eye on things best case scenario for us would probably be about santa rosa, calistoga, north for the first rain of the season from the north. again, we'll iron out the details we get towards friday, but today patchy fog at best. breezy

tomorrow morning most of the bay area, the north bay, even through the sacramento valley, are going toee smoke particulates really coming into our air. through the afternoon it will sweep by. there is better news that it should start to clear as we go into thursday. before we get to thursday, we have to deal with very warm temperatures. hottest day is supposed to be tomorrow, hot and hazy. the valleys will be in the 90s. the triple-digit heat toward solano, brentwood, antioch, you've been through this. we do have to be more cautious of our health, staying hydrated and wearing sunscreen. thursday those changes will come about. we'll drop temperatures about 10 degrees, back into those low 90s, before further cooling comes into the picture as we go into the holiday weekend. san francisco, mild, hazy and warm over the next couple of days. then we'll drop it back into the 60s by friday with more cloud cover. our inland valleys, very warm today. hotter even still tomorrow, with more of that haze coming in, that wildfire smoke. but then we will cool things down to below average temperatures a

this is close to the sacramento valley.ead all throughout california yesterday and let's take a live look at current conditions this morning. yes, it's a rough morning for in of us. lots of waking up to raspy voices. widespread throughout the bay. we're talking about neighborhoods anywhere in santa rosa ranging down into the santa clara valley. notice how along the coastline we're sitting in the moderate condition. it's actually starting to improve a little bit as we have wind pushing in from offshore which is interesting it's based on this area of low pressure and the tilt of it. we're going to continue to see the smoke move in from the north. look at this rotation right here. this is a system that's out in the atmosphere as we speak. and it will continue to push that smoke off into the east. within the next 24 hours. now here's what we're looking at this morning. hazy skies back here in the bay area. as we wake up. 58 degrees right now in san francisco. we're off to a cool start even in santa rosa at 55 degrees. here's wh

the sacramento valley, the mother lode in northern sacramento valley up to del norte. humboldt county will probably see some bands rotating through here as well. it's just impossible to pinpoint. so the low clouds are on the on the coast. so the combination of that is not going to help as much today unless you're by the water's edge. look at that point. now, it doesn't mean this is right, but it's trying to bring in more tropical moisture here in about seven days. i've seen other projections, more towards arizona. another one keeps it off southern california. but just the amounts being forecast in the mountains, that's pretty hefty totals for august, no doubt about it. 60s by the coast. water temps have come up. so the temps, even though they're not as cold as they were, 6070s, 80s, 90s and some locations inland livermore, antioch, fairfield and less some cloud cover comes in. i think you're hitting 99 or 100 today. not much changed. wednesday starts a little cooler. thursday, much cooler friday. you guys okay thank you steve crews car congestion here. how the robotaxi

there's obviously greater portions that extend beyond you up north all through the sacramento valley in sacramento, officials say they are on high alert. sacramento metro fire crews are gearing up to respond and to assist other fire departments if a wildfire breaks out. metro fire is fully staffed going into the next 24 hours and throughout the week. we also have our dozer operations and our helicopter operations. so if there is a fire that breaks out, we can attack it from a number of different angles, whether it be boots on the ground or from the air. fire officials are urging people to be alert and cautious as 95% of wildfires are caused by humans. governor newsom has declared a state of emergency for two northern california counties due to wildfires. the smith river complex fire in del norte county has burned more than 73,000 acres. it's currently 7% contained. while firefighters in siskiyou county are being challenged by the happy camp complex wildfire to 22,000 acres have burned there. it is 31% contained. the two large fire complexes were at least partially caused by lightning
